Well now that I found out that we can write about this book, heck yes! ha but In the book Janie was introduced and so was her grandma (Nanny). It talked about her living with her nanny behind a white persons house when she was younger and how she thought she was white until she saw a picture of herself with the white kids. Everyone treated her like she was white sense she always was around them and played with them. When she got older, around 16, she would sit under a pear tree and watch the bees go to the blossom and wished she would find love. A man named Logan Killicks, who was around 30 liked her, and her nanny thought that he was a good man for her so she pretty much forced her to get married because she wanted to see her "happy" before she died. She didn't fall in love with him, and they ended up always fighting and him treating her like crap. When Logan was gone one day she was out pumping water when a man who caught her eye walked by. They ended up talking and his name was Joe. She felt special with him, and he said he would treat her right and would wait for her. One day after a fight with Logan she ended up just walking out of her house and went and got married to Joe.
